BEYONCE REDEFINES THE GAME

It can be a challenge for an artist to be innovative in this day and time but leave it to Beyoncé to figure out a way to throw a curve bar in the run-of-the-mill record industry. At the end of 2013, she dropped a surprise self-titled visual album on ITunes. The collection of songs featured a video to accompany very track and featured some of Beyoncé;s best work to date.

The album quickly sold and had one of the largest debuts in sales this decade. The album racked up 6 weeks at No. 1 on The Music Nation's Top 100 Albums. It was also nominated for Album of the Year by The Music Nation and came in at No. 2 on The Music Nation's Top 100 Albums of 2014.

Two lead singles were chosen - the pop ode to her fans "XO" and the slinky, sexy "Drunk In Love" which features hubby Jay-Z. Both songs were major hits and both peaked in the Top 5 on The Music Nation's Top 100 Songs. She racked up another Top 10 hit this year with "Partition" and "Pretty Hurts" became a Top 20 hit later this year on The Music Nation's Top 100 Songs.

The now iconic "Drunk In Love" was awarded Best Collaboration and "Pretty Hurts" was honored with Best R&B Performance with the 2014 Music Nation Awards. Beyoncé also embarked on a successful world tour with hubby Jay-Z and at the 2014 VMA's, Beyoncé was awarded the Video Vanguard Award.

Congrats to Beyoncé on another exceptional year.
